Recruitment Assistant

Futureheads is a digital recruitment business which was launched in September 2009 this year. The three directors  are well known and respected for their recruitment experience within the digital space  We have enjoyed a very busy first quarter and our experience and our clients tell us that 2010 is looking very strong for new and existing business growth. We focus in the digital space, specialising in  Project Management and User Experience and are now looking to hire a Recruitment Assistant to support our team.

This is a candidate-focussed position which will work mainly in to one of our Directors, who drives the project management stream of our business.

On a day to day basis you would be assisting with the resourcing and placement of digital experts who are highly skilled, creative and often very senior. The role is also crucial in providing administrative, business development, marketing and database support to the lead consultant.

Essential requirements for this role are impeccable communication skills and proven administration experience with a thoroughly organised approach and excellent attention to detail. It would be a great advantage to have commercial experience within the world of digital media and/or an exposure to recruitment or sales-led environments. You’ll be pro-active, enjoy research and be able to multi task with a highly organised approach which means you can cope with a busy workload in a fast paced environment. You’ll enjoy supporting a team, be able to work autonomously when required, and you’ll definitely be bright and ambitious with a hunger for learning and acquiring new skills.

Head of Digital Communication, client side, £60-65k + benefits

I have had many discussions recently with Senior Project Managers/Project Directors on the agency side who are looking to move over from agency world to client side.  Well this is your chance!

Our client is a large global player in the mineral resources industry, with UK offices based in West London.

This opportunity is within the Corporate Communications team and is essentially the lead role within the Digital Media team, playing a pivotal role in the strategic direction of global corporate communications – including web services, corporate branding, editorial services, communications production and internal communications. 

You will get the opportunity to develop and implement the group wide internal and external digital strategy and plan, lead and develop the Group digital team – currently two people but looking to grow, project management of a variety of on-line and digital products, as well as digital agency management leadership of digital agencies.

Obviously a strong digital background essential, experience and understanding of internal comms, solid experience of intranet and extranet experiece, project director/ production management background essential and a mix of agency and client side experience ideal, line management of a small team also a big plus.

The freelance outlook for 2010

At the beginning of this week I was really looking forward to a. Taking some time off work, b. Building a snowman, c. A busy year ahead of me.

Seems one of my wishes came true already.

I am being asked lots of questions around freelance resource to kick off Jan 4th 2010. This is likely to be for 1-3 months while we absorb the lapse in time to make the right permanent hires or deliver projects that have already been signed off. User Experience Planner, around £60K, Permanent (ref J122)

Working in an integrated advertising agency in London, I am looking for a user experience planner to work strategically on consumer facing digital projects. The appetite for good user experience is enormous with clients and the agency and you would work with many high profile brands working on innovation and development of social media projects, big site design and builds and marketing led projects.  You will produce strategic briefing documents, rationalisation of insights and work with creative and information architecture teams to ensure that these requirements underpin the project through delivery.  A key part of your role will be to manage brainstorming and strategic workshops with clients and continue to build confidence and strong relationships. You will work in collaboration with a user experience/research agency and have a good understanding of how to write and manage creative briefs and the 360 degree or integrated agency process would be an advantage.
