Senior/Lead UX Consultant – Clientside – London-£45 to £55K J421

My client is the leader in their industry for investment folio management and spread betting (the nice kind). I am looking for a senior user experience lead who is confident, can help mentor and lead a happy and engaged team of 6 people(soon to be 8). The products this client produces, an online web application, an iphone app, designs for blackberry, ipad etc are continually said to be the most easy to use.

The board and design and development team all love user experience, the CEO sited the importance of good user experience in an important meeting, so the team is well supported and given generous, sometimes unlimited budgets.

The biggest part of this role is to work with stakeholders across the business – help them flesh out ideas, strategy and develop these. The smallest part of this role is wire framing. Nice to hear?

An agency specialising in information management and systems integration are looking for an interface developer to join their existing team. You should have a strong portfolio which demonstrates evidence of having worked on standards compliant, large scale web build projects. Essential skills include:

XHTML

CSS

OO Javascript/ Jquery/ Ajax

MVC design patterns

PHP or Java

Cross browser compatibility knowledge

Accessibility expertise

Experience building bespoke frameworks or using existing ones such as Spring, Drupal or Zend

You must also be a strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team.

As Project Manager you should have integrated agency experience and understand and enjoy the creative process through to development delivery. Strong understanding of online advertising processes is essential.

You will have a flexible, can-do attitude and understand that their role spans from planning/concepting through to development.

This is a good time to join the agency as restructuring has happened and there are big plans for digital moving forward and the head of the department is lovely!

Most of the production is outsources so experience managing third party relationships is very useful.

Digital Visual Designer, Berlin, Salary £40-50k J401

A really exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented visual designer to work with a leading-edge well known brand in one of Europe’s coolest cities, Berlin!

As part of an cross discipline creative team you will be working on a range of interesting projects across Web, Mobile and desk top applications. User centred design should be at the heart of your practice and you should be able to produce beautiful user interfaces whilst balancing technical restriction and functionality. As an individual you must have a portfolio that demonstrates work of high quality with at least 3 years dedicated visual design experience within a digital environment. A leading integrated agency are looking for a talented and motivated designer to join their digital team. Working with creative teams and senior designers you will be responsible for design and layout of web pages, emails, banners and applications. You will also be given the opportunity to do some original concept design with supervision. In collaboration with the team you will be producing pixel perfect beautiful design work, the sort of stuff you should be proud of, for a range of interesting and well known brands.

A leading travel company are looking for a talented designer to join their in-house design and user experience team, this is an excellent opportunity to work on some high profile projects and work for a company that promotes and encourages career progression. As a Web Designer you will be responsible for applying visual thinking to the presentation of online functionality and content in order to simplify the customer’s journey and make it an all round better experience. Your responsibilities will include:

  • contributing to the creation of ideas and design solutions;
  • page layout, navigation, typography, photography style, use and design of audio/visual elements
  • Create screen- and paper-based prototypes for usability testing

Digital Group Project Director, 60k – 70k, London,

Our client who are an award winning digital agency are looking for a Group Project Director to join a new high profile account for them. The successful candidate will be the Group Project Director on the account and should look to identify potential delivery synergies for both the agency and the client.

Early stages of the account will involve delivering multiple, transactional websites so experience of this kind is essential.  There will also be a number of other projects in-progress at the same time, potentially including email, mobile and microsite projects.  These projects will be at different stages of development and release, so the successful candidate must have experience of working on concurrent projects with multiple stakeholders.

As Group Project Director, close management of all projects is essential.  The  Group Project director will line a manage a project director and a project manager. Alongside their team they will be expected to identify dependencies and risks and propose appropriate mitigation strategies.  They must be in control of project finances and timelines at all times as well as ensure scope of work and change management is adhered to.

Our client has the opportunity to become a senior partner of their client both in their UK operation and international expansion, and as such require a suitable Group Project Director who can develop key relationships with senior delivery stakeholders, cementing the agency as a key delivery partner.

Finally, the successful candidate will be working in partnership with the account team and other disciplines within the agency and the client.  They will to be able to get their hands dirty, but also take a pragmatic approach when shocks occur to projects, working with the whole team to deliver the best solution.

Experience Required

  • Digital experience on creative accounts / at a creatively focused agency as well as experience in managing big build technically complex projects
  • Experience of managing Project Managers
  • Experience of managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Delivery of large websites (transactional site delivery ideal)
  • Be comfortable presenting to and conversing with clients at all  levels including senior
  • Excellent diplomatic and negotiation skills
  • Experience of working in Financial Services or in a heavily regulated, highly secure technology environment a bonus

As Project Director you will reporting directly to the Director of Project Management and partnering with the Business Directors, the Project Director is responsible for managing and coordinating the projects and Project Managers across their respective Client/Account Groups ensuring the efficient and successful delivery of all projects according to client requirements and the high standards of the Agency.

As a senior member of the agency, the Project Director will be seen as a leader within the Digital group providing insights and challenging their current way of working, whilst constantly seeking way to develop the agency in the constantly changing Digital environment.

Experience Required

  • Flawless project management skills with adaptive use of the appropriate methodology of dependent the needs of the Client/Account Group.

A well established client  of  ours is looking for Lead User Experience Consultant. This is initially to cover maternity for 12 months from June/July 2010.

Our  client, based in Wiltshire – with a suite of personal and business products are looking for a Lead UX Consultants to help define the overall user experience for new  projects and work across existing clients and partners on existing ideas. The team itself are progressive and understand the importance of good user research and analysis of business goals.

You need to be commercially minded with a background in an agency or working across transactional services within a similar environment.

You will help support and mentor the team, critique and be responsible for the quality of output across all research and user experience project steams.

You also need to be a really good communicator, be able to build relationships internally with stakeholders and across design and tech disciplines.

An evangelist for good user experience, you will lead partners and internal projects maintaining a focus on best practise user experience and information architecture.

Freelance Usability Specialist, London, 6 days

Well known mobile and web service client of ours requires a  usability expert with agency experience. We are looking for a  usability specialist to work for 19 days (some from home) from around 7th June 2010. You will be leading and moderating 40 in depth interviews across web and mobile services, managing any questions the viewers may have – so experience in this area is essential.

You will be carrying out 5 interviews per day and then  my client has scheduled a further 6 days to analyser, create graphs/charts and report using a templated document provided. The 6 days analysis and further 2 days reporting work can be carried out from home.
