A leading financial organisation is  looking for an exceptional interactive Creative Director to join their in-house design and user experience team. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing a team of visual designers in conceptualising and crafting a piece of complex web software.

 As an individual you must have deep understanding of a user centred design process with the ability to create outstanding work within a digital environment. You must be a passionate individual with excellent presentations skills and proven success in selling and promoting your designs to internal colleagues and stakeholders. It is essential you have demonstrable experience of building and managing successful teams creating a cohesive and collaborative working environment. You should also have a strategic approach as this role will involve defining an internal design process.

Resource Manager, London, £35-45k

A successful digital agency are looking for an organised and pro-active Resource Manager to join a large, busy department. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Resource forecasting, including resource reviews and maintaining accurate resource schedules
  • Liaising with Project Managers and Account Managers to enable a good understanding of project pipeline
  • Identifying skills gaps in the team in order to plug areas in line with future projects
  • Maintaining and managing a large freelance database
  • Resource allocation across projects on weekly basis
  • Overseeing and managing a large design team – assessing individual performance
  • Managing the teams time to ensure prompt and cost effective project delivery

As an individual it is essential you are multi-tasker who is unflappable and enjoys working under pressure. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to tactfully deal with designers, developers, project managers – anyone who crosses your path on a day to day basis! This role will also be client facing so you should have had some client facing responsibilities in your last role, excellent organisation and admin skills are also essential. This role would suit someone who has worked in a busy digital department and has a good understanding of the on and off line production processes.

Research and testing consultant- £400 a day- London- J535

My client, based in Shoreditch is looking for an established Morae user to complete a total of 5-6 days work around August. Core dates you need to be available are on the 5th and 19th August and then a few days to analyse the date and then work on the report and presentation using an existing template.

You will need to be an excellent communicator with experience of moderating and understanding and communicating findings. You need to have experience of working with a prototype and using this as well as visual stimulation on screen – you will be comfortable inviting the user to think out loud and probe thoughts and ideas.

User Experience Consultant, York – up to £40K, J529

My client, a huge employer nationally is looking to build a user experience centre of excellence in York. The team have around 5 people working nationally and around 11 team members in the design and UX team onsite ( including contractors). We are looking to populate the user experience team with people that can lead and define research internally or work with external partners.

You help to understand customers across B2B and B2C products and working with other teams across the business to help them achieve their business goals. Working with stakeholders is a huge part of the process, and while projects are often initiated by those teams ( sales, marketing, distribution) there is also an innovation programme being put in place so you can initiate new ideas. You will have experience of consulting in the user experience space – and working with design and technology teams and pulling together the full suite of ux documentation – business and user research, personas, interaction designs, user journeys, sitemaps and wireframes. There is a good work life-balance at this company – an onsite cafe, working in a great city with an onsite cafe. Hope you’ve enjoyed the weekend. Here’s some brief info on two new freelance roles we’re working on for an expanding and super-busy charity in North London. Not the highest paying gig in London but just think of how good you’ll feel about ‘giving something back’!

 Partner project PM

Again, we’re looking for a good midweight to work alongside a lead PM on this key project for the charity’s brand partner website and digital asset system.

This contract would suit a digital PM with lots of stakeholder management and requirements gathering expertise – this is much more important than heavy technical knowledge as the role will revolve around planning the migration of partner content, managing expectations, and spacing up system and process solutions.

Commercial expertise is again important for this one, as is bags of stakeholder management.

  • The role is based on-site in North London and will pay commensurate with experience in the £200-240 per day bracket.
  • Start date asap for an initial period of 3 months.

Role 1 – ‘Business As Usual’ PM

This role is for a solid midweight PM (or upwards) to work across a wide variety of digital projects including intranet, digital marketing campaigns, site functionality enhancements, e-commerce enhancements, online community implementation and integration work around CRM and email systems. The Project Manager would be responsible for projects end to end  and will be tasked with ensuring delivery of projects on time and on budget.

Good project planning and stakeholder management skills are more important than strict methodologies or deep technical knowledge. It’s important that you have a background in commercial organisations as this is a very fast paced environment which requires a well honed ability to prioritise tasks based on commercial understanding.

  • The role is based on-site in North London and will pay commensurate with experience in the £200-240 per day bracket.

You will be working alongside their talented team of experienced and innovative designers creating for mobile and other digital platforms.

They are looking for an experienced designer that can create pixel perfect work for screen, mobile TV and beyond. You will have experience in working on application design and understand how design is implemented into devices. The role requires flexibility and the ability to work in fast paced environment. Digital Programme Director – £80k – 130k- London- J523

The Programme Director is the senior representative responsible for the Programme. They are the client side representative who acts as a single focal point of contact with the Project Managers for the day-to-day management and interests of the Program.  The PD is responsible for ensuring that the desired Programme objectives are delivered.  The person in this role must have adequate knowledge and information about the business and the Programme to be able to make informed decisions.

It’s a very interesting role. Hugely exciting client.  It’s a world renowned client and the site will feature elements of social interaction, gaming, e-commerce and it is a huge creative project with some amazing design elements.  It is the largest client they have ever had and the Programme Director will be the senior Stakeholder working closely with their Chief Exec and Board and with the client directly.  It needs someone with sufficient gravitas to work at senior level and take accountability on the delivery of the programme.

The digital strategy for our client is growth growth growth they are looking to be the leading digital broadcaster for sure. The aim is to develop key commercial digital propositions, expand the digital presence by distributing content beyond their websites through targeted content syndication and to be experimental and agile in approach.

As Producer your key accountabilities are

Lead discovery phase of a project, to develop the creative strategy at the heart of any given piece of work

Co ordinate the selection of creative/development agencies and outline the overall approach by project

Plan the project in detailed iterations following Agile methodology

Identify, manage and communicate project progress to key internal stakeholders – internal and external

Work with Technical, Editorial, Content and Commercial at strategic and delivery level

Experience Required

In-depth experience covering the delivery of interactive commercial projects, including online video delivery, from inception to launch and onwards throughout business-as-usual iterative development

In-depth knowledge of good user experience (UX) practices and experience working with UX agencies

Experience working as part of a large, cross-organisational projects on time and on budget

Excellent Project Management skills and the ability to process information quickly

Ideally a blend of Editorial and Technical experience

Experience managing third party relationships

Experience overseeing projects of budgets £100k and upwards

Mobile and Social Media experience a distinct advantage
