A leading integrated corporate communications agency are looking for a Digital Designer to join them and work across their design and digital teams.
As an individual you must be a passionate designer, and dedicated to the digital industry – someone who blogs, tweets and networks outside of your standard working day, with an inquisitive mind and desire to constantly learn more. Whilst hands on development skills are not needed in this position you should be someone who understands technology with an interest in emerging trends and technologies you should be aware of what solutions might be appropriate to enhance your designs and meet the clients needs. A natural user centred design approach is essential and you should enjoy getting involved in the User Experience of the project, often working along side a UE specialist, but with the ability to muck in and creative documentation yourself. You will be involved in projects from initial concept through to final build and be able to create written material for pitches and presentations, so client liaison skills are a must. It is also essential you can adapt to different challenges and change, be flexible and able to work on multiple projects in a faced paced environment.
Your software skills should include Photoshop, Illustrator and ideally Indesign. You should also have good understanding of web technologies such as HTML, XML, CSS, Flash/Flex, Ajax and some CMS understanding too.

Working with creative teams and senior designers you will be responsible for design and layout of web pages, emails, banners and applications. You will also be given the opportunity to do some original concept design with supervision. A leading travel company are looking for a talented designer to join their in-house design and user experience team, this is an excellent opportunity to work on some high profile projects and work for a company that promotes and encourages career progression. As a Web Designer you will be responsible for applying visual thinking to the presentation of online functionality and content in order to simplify the customer’s journey and make it an all round better experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- contributing to the creation of ideas and design solutions;
- page layout, navigation, typography, photography style, use and design of audio/visual elements
- Create screen- and paper-based prototypes for usability testing
- Create accurate, pixel-perfect final visuals
- Provide web-optimised artwork to the Web Developers to build page templates in HTML/ CSS/JS
- Creation of on-line marketing materials such as banners, buttons and emails.
You should be a pro-active individual who has excellent communication skills and is able to build internal relationships with ease. It’s essential that you are passionate about digital media and keep up with current and emerging trends and technologies with a keen interest in issues surrounding usability and accessibility. We’re looking for a digital designer with a commitment to a user-centred design process who excels working on large e-commerce projects. Working within a highly respected consultancy, you would work closely with business strategists and technology consultants to design interfaces for compelling online experiences and digital applications for an impressive list of blue chip organisations. Your design thinking should be user-centric and your portfolio will feature beautiful, accessible interface designs for e-commerce, web and mobile products and applications which are underpinned by intelligent thinking.
In addition to your visual interface design skills you’ll need to demonstrate the potential to develop excellent consultancy skills, including confident and effective communication and presentation skills, client-facing abilities and some experience of running workshops to define client requirements and test solutions. Your designs will be questioned and interrogated, so you must be able to support your creative solutions with a clear rationale, and to be able to accept constructive feedback, constantly striving to improve on your designs.

A leading on-line fundraising company are currently looking for a senior web developer to join their internal user experience team. Working in collaboration with designers, IA’s and product managers you will bridge the gap between creative and technical. You will be responsible for enhancing an expanding site and range of products through producing clean, maintainable code which is sensitive to the design of the site.
