Toby's Creative News & Views – 02/12/11

We haven't had creative news and views for a few weeks so here I am with its hotly anticipated return. As always we'd love to hear your views on any of the articles, hear what you're up to, and of course take a look at your latest work so get in touch with Meera and Myself – .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) & .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

Amazing Rubik's Cube art - http://tinyurl.com/3v6homo

Ok, not digital, but how cool is this? If any of you freelancers get some downtime then I'd love to see your Rubik's rendition of your favourite Futurehead (Myself or Meera obviously!)

Strategies for UX/ Visual design harmony

This is really interesting. Four strategies that UX designers feel they need to work in harmony with you visual designers! What do you all think? Maybe you have your own "strategies".

Google into connected TV- http://tinyurl.com/dxdl6ha

It seems that broadcasters are quaking in their boots over Google's foray into connected TV – is it really going to be as revolutionary as people think. Maybe the pessimism is driven by being an ex Android user...

Environmentally induced creativity - http://tinyurl.com/cjc9dhu

I've read a lot of articles recently about how important the work environment is for inducing creativity. This article summarises the key points but also has some images of pretty amazing/ weird creative spaces. What has been the most creative place/ area you've worked in?

Good app vs. bad app

We all know there are really good apps and really bad apps out there so I thought I'd put out some good stuff and bad stuff each week for you all to enjoy (or slag off).

Good app - http://tinyurl.com/c3pn5jp - An app where you can safely book pre-vetted taxis and store information of trusted providers. It's Simple, useful, and overall a pretty decent idea.

Bad app - http://tinyurl.com/d88p5j2 - An ingenious way of sending messages to each other. Is this an app for apps sake?
