Digital Designer

Our client is a large E-Commerce company, delivering multi-platform design and build solutions to a number of well-known retailers around the world. They're looking for a digital designer with good HTML / CSS skills at an intermediate level. Your role will be to design visually engaging websites and applications, working within the brand guidelines and specific time frames.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to make the role their own, working as the sole designer on the team, you will closely with two UX designers and two developers. As the design team grows you will take on more responsibility to mentor and help train the more junior designers.

You may also be required to design wire frames and draw sketches to support the UX team. For the right designer, this is a great role to come up with new ideas and think conceptually about the projects. You will be speaking to clients and communicating compelling ideas to your team, project managers and sales executives on a daily basis. This role requires excellent communication and presentation skills to clearly convey your ideas and design solutions.

Other aspects of the role include contributing to the cultural activities of the team; identifying and writing a blog about trends and design topics. We need someone who is passionate about digital design and is keen to work in a team.

Technical skills,

• Advanced skills in the Adobe Create Suite
• Typography and colour theory skills
• User-centred design experience
• Mobile design experience
• Responsive web design experience
• Ability to hand write code in HTML and CSS (Java scripting nice to have)
