Visual designer - Leading digital design studio
- Contract type
- Salary DOE
- East London
- Start date
We are working with one of the most exciting agencies in London, helping them find a junior or middleweight visual designer to join their design family. If you're interested in working for an agency who are genuinely doing things differently in the industry then this could be ideal for you.
They deliver beautiful, user centered interfaces for a variety of digital products and services across mobile, web, desktop and hardware. UX is central to everything they do, but coupling that with stunning visual design means they can deliver truly excellent products to their clients and users. They have ever facet of the production process in-house, making it the perfect agile development environment where iteration and refinement are key to success. It also means you will be working with a team of hugely talented UX consultants, developers, and project managers. Within this process, they will provide you with the support and tools needed to develop further and further.
They are working with a broad range of clients, from financial services to globally known consumer retail companies, but their mission remains the same – do great work. They have more recently started to develop their own internal products, and firmly believe allowing this creativity to flow makes an exciting place to work.
You should have professional experience in the design or UX industry (either agency or client-side), and have a clear understanding of designing pixel-perfect visuals across a number of screen sizes and platforms (mobile, tablet, smart TV, Console, software, Product). You will likely have informed UX documentation in your previous roles, and will be comfortable working to wireframes and design documents when implementing visuals. Experience in presenting work to clients and stakeholders will be advantageous, but not essential. All of your projects should be backed-up by a clear design rationale, and you will be able to communicate your ideas clearly to anyone.
You must clearly be a brilliant designer, but character requirements are just as important for these guys. You should have an active interest in design, and live it as more than just a job (personal projects often demonstrate this well). You must have communication skills strong enough to present to, critique, and inspire the team around you to benefit the delivery of projects.
