UX Consultant for banking and legal - up to £450pd - 8-10 weeks J1785

My client is a business information provider to the legal and financial services sector. I know what you are thinking ...it's not them.

This company is owned by a large publishing company and they allow you to mine data for very specific tasks (pitching for deals, IPO, compare clauses, risk), it has a global reach and is a paid subscription service. It also has some additional features – its exportable, it has a comparison tool and also allows you to search history.

The client want to massively improve the front end interface and search capability for this tool (essentially it's a front end URL with a SQL database).

They would like a consultant with some domain knowledge in investment banking and/or Legal. What they would like you to do is actually have conversations with some of the subject matter experts (users) about a new interface, what works for them and what could be improved. From here you will also talk to the internal product owners and development teams to identify the most efficient ways to improve the new product. You will make changes and recommendations and help them fold this into the design and delivery of the new product.

The client thinks they will initially need you for 8 weeks, but I wouldn't be surprised if you were extended a bit on this one.
