Futureheads are partnered with one of the UK’s fastest growing tech start-ups, who are a key market leader in their field.  Their intuitive website and mobile apps allow customers to send and receive their unique products in just a few clicks. Working out of a modern office, this London based business have grown through creating a user experience unlike any other, by listening to their consumers and innovating at every stage of the journey.

We are looking for an ambitious Lead Frontend Developer who can drive their extensive growth plans forward. This role will work directly in partnership with the Head of Engineering and Product Director to define the optimum approach for projects, whilst actively promoting quality in code produced by you and those you lead.

As a business they are taking a mobile first approach to design and performance, whilst their tech stack continues to build. Their aim is to take their proposition to the next level and see this person making a mark on the future of the brand. Internationalisation, personalisation, payments and conversational commerce are among the many ambitious projects in the pipeline.

This opportunity would see you leading a team of four frontend developers, using code reviews and pair programming to help mould the way in which they work, along with improving the performance and scalability of the technology being used.  The team are currently working with ES6, AngularJS and NodeJS to build out one of the most advanced eCommerce platforms. We require an individual with prior leadership experience who can shape the next stages of the product lifecycle and share their in-depth knowledge of front end technologies to progress the team.

To be considered for this role you will need to be able to display the following:

  • Previous team lead or leadership experience
  • Extensive HTML and CSS experience
  • Strong commercial experience with JavaScript
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue etc.
  • Experience using version control tools e.g. GIT
  • Implementing best processes and practices
